The cockpit
…will offer you a modern style instrument panel designed to house the latest glass cockpits with large screens! The wide swinging doors are supported by gas springs and allow easy access to the ergonomic formed seats.
For your luggage the FK9 ELA offers a huge baggage compartment with an external door.
Improved aerodynamics…
Not an easy task for engineering, but it worked: A new engine cowl reduced drag while improving cooling efficiency!
The new winglets are lowering fuel consumption while helping to improve stall speed handling – a major point to meet the US LSA requirements when flying with the increased MTOW for the ELA.
Electric actuated full carbon flaps
The full carbon flaps actuated by a switch in the center console allow an easy and fast operation.
Electronic board computer as standard feature
You can choose between two versions of equipment and panels for your ELA, named “Cruiser” and “Comfort”.
Both configurations will offer you a plane equipped for long distance flights.
Both contain the new MID (multi information display) as standard feature, where you will find all your checklists, indications of fuel consumption, warnings and much more!
Optimized integration of cockpit window panels
A seamless integration of the new full Plexiglass window panels improving the surface quality and aerodynamic efficiency.
Various other options
Folding wing option…
Like for the Fk9 Mark IV you may choose the folding wing option. This will allow you to store your Fk9 in a small corner of your hangar or trailer. If necessary wingfolding can be done alone and takes only few minutes!
Wingtanks or fuselage tanks…
For those who want to fly frequently distances beyond the 1000km mark we offer the use of additional inflatable fuel cells for both wings which boosts the fuel capacity up to 100 ltrs.
For those who don’t want to benefit from the safety and comfort of the standard fuselage tank installation a fixed wingtank system is also available, providing 78 ltr standard volume.
